Kitty and Lulu decided to hunt a deer last weekend. The actually chased the deer down and proceeded to attack it when it got stuck in the brambles! They were very excited and luckily someone was able to pull them off the poor deer. They had the deer down and were grabbing it by the head and back. Their nightly run was cut short and they got locked in their crates for the rest of the evening. Its hard to imagine those two plump girls running down a deer, but despite their looks, they are very athletic. Also, we have to remember that bulldogs were originally bred for bull baiting. Thank goodness there wasn't a bull in the field! The deer was a little dazed, but after it was pulled out of the brambles it got up recovered and ran away. I imagine it will steer clear of the bullies in the future! Hopefully, we won't underestimate our bullies again. |

Molly All Dressed Up!
Isn't she cute? Molly is dressing up as a pink devil this Holloween. Sway will be showing later this month and then possibly at the Bulldog Nationals in November. Our newest, little boy out of Rocky went to his new home in New York. I am sure he is having lots of fun terrorizing his new owners. He is one of the orneriest bulldogs we have had so far. Kitty is doing well. She is still growing. She is such a sweetie and loves everyone. Lulu is still a foot biter (with lock jaw)... Ouch! She likes to be top dog. |

Lulu X Rocky Puppy Goes to His New Home
Our little singleton baby boy went to his new home yesterday. Mom was very sad to see him go, but she drove to Missouri to meet his new owners. Rob and Joe had driven all the way from Buffalo NY to get their new little boy. They were very pleased with their new baby. Hopefully we will get some new photos soon! We also can't wait to find out his new name. I am sure Lulu and Kitty miss their ornery little playmate. This little boy is gorgeous! I loved his short little legs and stocky body. He also has a nice big head. I think he is going to turn out to be a very nice boy and would do awesome in the show ring. We will be repeating this breeding in the summer and hopefully we will have a whole litter as nice as this little boy. |

The New Little Boy
Lulu gave birth to a beautiful brindle baby boy. This little guy is GORGEOUS! He has a very flat little face, huge head, and nice cobby body. His fathers is top 10 bulldog Best in Show (BIS)winner, multiple Best in Specialty Show Winner (BISS), AKC CH Dowat's the Contender. He is an only puppy so he is being completely spoiled! Hopefully, we will have some video up of him in couple of days and sometime next week we should have some stacked photos.

Puppies Coming Soon and Congrats to Sway and Marsha
Puppies will be here tomorrow! We are so excited. Lulu is miserable. Mom has everything ready to bring the babies home. Hopefully, we will have some puppy pics up on the site tomorrow. I got to visit with Lulu and Miss Kitty about 3 weeks ago. Kitty is looking very nice. She has a beautiful head and a wonderful attitude. She loves to play in her little pool. She is very spoiled and loves to be held and give kisses. Her and my dobe, Cinders, don't get along. Kitty insists that it is her house and she is the boss and Cinders does not agree. Congratulations to Marsha and Sway. Sway went RWB in |

Maverick and Sway go to their first Real Show
Here is an email I got from Linda:
"Hi,Just a note to let you know how the boy is doing.Maverick was entered in the Vermillion show this past weekend, he came up with second, both days the judges like him and they both said he is a very nice puppy, but they had to give it to the other dog because he looked more mature, and he was. He was almost nine months old and Maverick was six months and five days old so there was a big difference, but Maverick likes to show and he thinks everyone at the show is there for him. He is quite the guy."
Sway
"She is doing great! She didn't win at her and Mavericks first real sanctioned show last weekend, but the judge really liked her. We show July 11th and 12th in Omaha. I will let you know how she does."- Marsha
Kitty
Mom says Kitty is doing great. She loves to play in the kiddie pool and chill out near the pool.
Bella
Bella is doing good. She has been enjoying the California sun.

Kitty Report
Kitty is a mess but I love her to death. She is a great addition to the family. She has had only two messes on the floor this week and she knew she was bad. I put bells on the door knob and she rings it to go outside and to come in. It is working real well. She has gotten so big that we are having to make her larger stairs so she can get on and off the bed by herself.

Miss Kitty and Sway
I heard back from mom and Kitty is doing well. Mom says that she knows her name well and she sits on command. She is house trained and mom has a little ladder that she uses to get up on the bed at night. There she sleeps on mom's pillow.
Sway (right) is also doing really well. She is ornery! She gets to go play with Maverick sometimes and will enter her first match next week!

Happy St Patrick's Day!
I am so happy that all my little bully babies are doing well. I have had multiple reports and the babies are ranging between 14lbs and 22 lbs right now. Maverick (the only boy) is gearing up to go to his first match in a month or so. Kitty is keeping my mom busy and turning into a really nice dog.
Sway is doing good in Iowa and working on growing into a nice show dog. Molly has an unfortunate nickname that tells us which side of the weight scale she is on! LOL!
The picture is Bella (Lavender) already out in that Southern California Sun!

Taking Advantage of Every Opportunity
I came home from running a few errands Saturday afternoon and an electric company guy was in my back yard playing with Lily and Lulu! Normally, I don't leave anyone outside while I am gone, but it was such a nice day and I was only going to be gone a short while. Lily and Lulu where mauling the poor guy. Of course, he seemed to be enjoying himself playing with them. The electrical problem was at the neighbors, but he was just making sure that all my lines where ok before they turned the power on. I think he volunteered because of the dogs. I am not sure where that crew was from, but I have seen several in the area from Georgia and Alabama. He said they made him miss his dogs. I was just glad I had not left Cinders outside because she would not have allowed him back there. He said she had been barking at him through the window and he was glad she wasn't out there.
He was a grizzled husky guy with a hard hat, uniform and some equipment on, so I thought it was an excellent opportunity for some socialization. I told him I had some pups and asked him if he wanted to see them. Of course he did! I knew he had to go back to work, so I brought out two bullys first. One was the boy ( I thought he would like him) and the other was Molly. While the 2 bullys were being loved on, I went in and got the purple and red pups. All the pups took to this big guy very well. The red pup did not want to wait her turn and was trying frantically to climb up his legs. Too bad he had to go back to work or I would have brought everyone out.
I am very happy the power is back on and the weather has improved. I let the pups run in the yard for an hour or so and I took some video. All together during the power outage I took an hours worth of video that needs to be uploaded and edited. So for those of you that got the first installations, that was about 30 min of video cut to 20 min. I still have another 30 min to go and I am already thinking about taking some more. Likely I will create another agility course this weekend. I am already thinking about it. However, I believe I have one on video that hasn't been uploaded yet.

12 days and counting w/ no electricity
The puppies are doing well. Everyone has moved to the living room and are living in the x-pen with the Dobermans near the wood stove. Everyone is getting more and more ornery. The little lavender collar girl is the explorer and she seems to be the first to always escape and roam around the house. The boy is also an escape artist. However, his method of escape is to bulldoze his way out. I have been creating puppy agility equipment for them and videoing them playing with it. Unfortunately , I can not upload the video until the electric comes back on. Everyone is so cute. They are all very chubby and wrinkly. Molly looks a bit lopsided. One of her ears is folding properly and the other is still floppy.

Puppies Everywhere!
The babies are getting big. Lulu loves to play with them. In doing so, she often collapses the side of the kiddie pool and frees everyone. I am sort of a sucker and all my floors are hardwood, so I usually let them run around for a while. They get into all sorts of things and have even had encounters with the dobe pups.
I took the available puppies over to my friends house Sunday. There they got to meet a few more Great Danes and a Pekingese. The orange collared fawn girl is very outgoing and was the first to start running around at my friend house. They are still nursing some, but Lulu is starting to dry up. They are eating moistened and canned puppy food pretty well now. Mostly they are just in to everything!

Puppies Go For a Visit
Yesterday I took all the puppies over to my friend's house to get stacked photos. The babies had lots of fun. My friends children played with the pups and they even called their neighbor over to see the little ones. Stacking and pictures went pretty well. At only 4 weeks old there is only so much we can expect from them before they get tired. I need to retake photos pf the boy and have had requests for side by side photos of the two remaining females. I will work on getting those and emailing them out to everyone.
The babies have really started to play with one another and with people. I have a new video which I sent out to several people, but it will also be available on the website shortly along with the new photos.
Puppies are starting to eat more and more real food (Purina Proplan Puppy). That is good because mom is getting tired of feeding them. Their little teeth hurt!!

Unsinkable Molly Brown
I am very pleased to announce that Burgundy Girl is now going to be called "Molly". She has a great home lined up in Michigan and hopefully will soon be on her way to being a Champion! I know I will enjoy watching her grow and keeping up with all her adventures. Maybe I will get to see her show some day.
I talked to my mom yesterday and she has decided to keep Ms. Kitty. Kitty is so adorable. We all love her. She is going to be a nice addition for my mother and I am sure she will enjoy life in Arkansas. It will be fun watching her grow as well and maybe I will show her someday.

Puppies eyes starting to open
These pups are getting huge. Its a wonder some of them can move they are so chubby. There are some really nice puppies emerging. Nice large heads and cobby bodies. Orange, burgundy and Green boy are the largest. Green Boy has awesome markings and a HUGE head with really nice layback. I'll get new weights posted soon. The purple collar female was the first to start opening her eyes. We first saw her little peeper at 8 days old. Thats really young. Most pups don't begin to open their eyes until 11+ days. Lulu is still watchful of the puppies. They have moved to a larger box with some wood shavings for bedding. Everyone is really healthy and they really like to eat! They had lots of visitors Sunday and acquired a new fan in my Dane breeder Friend.
