Update on Lulu X Rocky pup: Introducing Mugsy!

We LOVE to hear how our puppies are doing!  We were so excited when we got this email and pictures yesterday.  Not only is it great to get an update on Mugsy, but it was wonderful to see how nicely he is turning out, especially since we are planning a rebreeding of Lulu X Rocky this summer.  You can see more pictures at http://www.aristocratbulldogs.com/webpages/litterbox09.html

Hi Brandi,
We are from Buffalo, NY. In September 2009, we adopted Billy. I did receive your christmas card and i'm sorry i'm just responding now. We named him Mugsy. He is 6 months old almost 7 months and he weights 49.1 lbs! The vet said he will gain another 10lbs. He is great with people and other dogs. The day we received him, when he would go to sleep, he would suck on the blanket and pass out. Till this day, he grabs the blanket and sucks on it until he fells asleep!! He loves to cuddle at night. He loves the snow!! He sticks his head in the snow and goes crazy! When he doesn't get his way, he pouts just like a baby! We receive so many compliments just about how beautiful he is. We love him so much and boy is he spoiled!!! I hope you enjoy the pictures!! I hope to hear from you soon!

New Aristocrat Litter Coming!

Kitty was bred to Benchmark Bulldog's Simon Says and is due April 5th. We have an ultrasound scheduled for March 5th. We are expecting this breeding to produce nice short legs, cobby bodies, correct head planes, rolling gaits, and wonderful sweet bully temperments. Check out the Litterbox page on our web site for more information. Make sure to check back on the blog too to watch the puppies grow!

We also have a rebreeding planned for late spring/early summer 2010 between Lulu and BIS, BISS CH. Dowat's the Contender, AKA Rocky.

Sway Likes to Play in the Snow

Sway is such a cutie!

I just got this update from Marsha in Iowa:

Sway is always in the snow. She climbs on the mountains of snow and jumps on people! She also likes to hide behind the snow and jump out at you!

Deer Hunters

Kitty and Lulu decided to hunt a deer last weekend.  The actually chased the deer down and proceeded to attack it when it got stuck in the brambles!  They were very excited and luckily someone was able to pull them off the poor deer.  They had the deer down and were grabbing it by the head and back. Their nightly run was cut short and they got locked in their crates for the rest of the evening.  Its hard to imagine those two plump girls running down a deer, but despite their looks, they are very athletic.  Also, we have to remember that bulldogs were originally bred for bull baiting.  Thank goodness there wasn't a bull in the field!

The deer was a little dazed, but after it was pulled out of the brambles it got up recovered and ran away.  I imagine it will steer clear of the bullies in the future!  Hopefully, we won't underestimate our bullies again.

Molly All Dressed Up!

Isn't she cute?  Molly is dressing up as a pink devil this Holloween.  Sway will be showing later this month and then possibly at the Bulldog Nationals in November.  Our newest, little boy out of Rocky went to his new home in New York.  I am sure he is having lots of fun terrorizing his new owners.  He is one of the orneriest bulldogs we have had so far.

Kitty is doing well.  She is still growing. She is such a sweetie and loves everyone.  Lulu is still a foot biter (with lock jaw)... Ouch!  She likes to be top dog.

Lulu X Rocky Puppy Goes to His New Home

Our little singleton baby boy went to his new home yesterday.  Mom was very sad to see him go, but she drove to Missouri to meet his new owners.  Rob and Joe had driven all the way from Buffalo NY to get their new little boy.  They were very pleased with their new baby.  Hopefully we will get some new photos soon!  We also can't wait to find out his new name. I am sure Lulu and Kitty miss their ornery little playmate.

This little boy is gorgeous!  I loved his short little legs and stocky body.  He also has a nice big head.  I think he is going to turn out to be a very nice boy and would do awesome in the show ring.  We will be repeating this breeding in the summer and hopefully we will have a whole litter as nice as this little boy.

The New Little Boy

Lulu gave birth to a beautiful brindle baby boy. This little guy is GORGEOUS! He has a very flat little face, huge head, and nice cobby body. His fathers is top 10 bulldog Best in Show (BIS)winner, multiple Best in Specialty Show Winner (BISS), AKC CH Dowat's the Contender. He is an only puppy so he is being completely spoiled! Hopefully, we will have some video up of him in couple of days and sometime next week we should have some stacked photos.
